Overview

The style of a map layer refers to the appearance of its data or objects. To change the styling of a map layer:

  1. Right click on the layer you wish to stylise, and press 'Styling'.
  2. Change the style to whatever you see fit - you can change the symbol as well as its colour, size and the outline colour.
  3. Press 'Save' to submit these changes.

Style based on classes

You can change a layer's style to represent the different information stored in each map object more clearly by having a style based on classes.

  1. Right click on the layer you wish to stylise, and press 'Styling'.
  2. Choose the 'Style based on Classes' option at the top-left of the Layer Styling window.
  3. Choose what column the style will show difference in, eg. Type of tree, colour.
  4. Parish Online will calculate the different variants found in that field and allow you to change the style for each variant.
